The Chemical Production Plant is located in Dobrów, in Busko-Zdrój county. It began manufacturing carbon disulfide in 1979, and was later expanded with a unit producing insoluble sulfur. Tests of the product, conducted at the Rubber Industry Institute in Piastów and at the Zakłady Oponiarskie Stomil tyre company in Dębica and in Olsztyn, found it to be of high quality. The unit was finally commissioned in 1996. In 2012, a new insoluble sulfur unit, with a production capacity of 5,000 tonnes per annum, came on stream. Its construction was supported with EU funds. Currently, the Chemical Production Plant manufactures insoluble sulfur, milled sulfur, flaked sulfur, and carbon disulfide.
